Walking stick
Cane walking stick, with a bentwood handle and three silver bands. The top band is engraved with two crests, one a beast standing, the other the head and shoulders of a man, crowned. Said to have been given by Admiral the Honourable John Byng before his execution in 1757 to Midshipman Philip Browne, later Captain RN (1741-1779).
