Cigar case

Cigar case covered in blue velvet . It is decorated in gold and silver lace with a laurel wreath encircling a crown (the cap in red velvet). It is lined with yellow leather with two pockets to hold cigars. The case probably belonged to Captain John Tyssen RN (1811-1893). Said by the donor to have belonged to 'Tyson RN' but this name is not tracable in the 'Navy List'.
