Coal heaps near the harbour at Provideniya, Russia, with one of the large mobile cranes on the right of the image. In the background, on the lower slopes of the mountains, are uniform appartment buildings. Ivy Sharp arrived here from Anchorage, Alaska, at about 1745 but did not arrive from the airport until around 1945. This photograph may have been taken from the coach, as there is evidence of a window frame a tthe bottom and left of the negative.
