The Russian ice breaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (1975) off Yttygran Island
A distant view of the Russian ice breaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (1980) off Yttygran Island waiting while the passengers were ashore. One of the Zodiac inflatable boats is underway at speed off the bow. This was the first island visited by the ice breaker Kapitan Dranitsyn and Ivy Sharp records that they arrived at about 0700. The weather was foggy, which turned to drizzle and then rain. They left at about 1120 as the weather deteriorated.
