A small collection of whale bones and vertebrae laid on stone on Yttygran Island

A small collection of whale bones and vertebrae laid out on a pile of stones. This was the first island visited by the ice breaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (1980) and Ivy Sharp records that they arrived at about 0700. The weather was foggy, which turned to drizzle and then rain. They left at about 1120 as the weather deteriorated.

The bottom right of the image is obscured by an item of clothing or the camera case.
