A small section of vertebrae of unknown animal on the beach at Yttygran Island. It appears to be closer to the 'tail' end of the spine.
This was the first island visited by the ice breaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (1980) and Ivy Sharp records that they arrived at about 0700. The weather was foggy, which turned to drizzle and then rain. They left at about 1120 as the weather deteriorated.
