Post box
Teak country house post box with a grooved plinth and hinged lid. A slot is cut in the latter for letters (possibly a later conversion). An ironwork grill is set into the front is painted grey except for a gold 'S' in the centre. On a brass plate on the lid: 'In memoriam / HMS SULTAN / wrecked off Malta / March 1889 / From A H M'. On a torn paper stuck inside the lid 'R. Admiral / Albert Markham'.
