H.M.S. 'Victory' wooden fragment
Miniature steel anchor with wooden stock, two miniature coils of rope attached. Tied to the anchor with a piece of string, is a flat piece of oak with a label pinned to it. On the label: 'Fragment cut from the Victory below the waterline after she was rammed by the Neptune 23 Oct 1903.' On reverse: 'To Sir James Caird Bart. with every good wish. Christmas 1930.'
