Stralsund, seal of the town, circa 1250. It depicts a mid thirteenth century sailing vessel with rudder and straightened stern-post. Inscription: 'SIGILLVM : CIVITATIS : STRALESSVNDIS'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
