Seal of Elias son of Turstin, Ipswich, 12th century, called a seal of the town. It depicts a single-masted ship with mainsail furled, a cross at the top of the mainmast. There are two mariners within the ship. Inscription: 'SIGILL' ELIE FIL' TVRSTINI DE GIPEWICH'. The cast mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
