Faversham, 2nd seal of the town, 1272-1307. Depicting a llate thirteenth or early fourteenth century sailing vessel. It shows soldiers disembarking. The master is directing the men who are getting the sail into gaskets. Inscription: 'SIGILLVM BARONVM : DE :: FAVERSHAM.' The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
