Common seal of the town of Dover, 1305. Sailing vessel circa 1305. The fighting stages are no longer small stages inside the hull, but longer and fixed to the stem and stern posts. The vessel is shown with short planks, a quarter-rudder slung on the port side, and flying the banner of the barons of the Cinque Ports. Inscription: 'SIGILLVM : COMMVNE : BARONVM : DE : DOVORIA'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
