Common seal of Lydd, circa 1330. A sailing vessel shown in port with a church obscuring the bows, the shield of arms of Hainault is shown above in honour of Queen Philippa. Inscription: 'S' : COMVNE : BARONV : DOMINI : REGIS : ANGLIE : DE : L(YDE)'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
