Weymouth, 2nd seal of the corporation, 1555. A conventional representation of a sixteenth century warship with two tiers of guns. The flag of St George is flown at the fore; on the main mast, a shield, with the arms of Castile and Leon for Queen Mary's husband, Philip II of Spain. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
