Louis De Bourbon, seal of office, 1463-86. The earliest representation of a full-rigged ship on a seal. It shows a fished anchor with a crown-ring and a boarding ladder. Inscription: POUR LES SAMONDIUS D'NORMANDIE DE LOYS BASTART DE BOURBON AMIRAL DE FRANC'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
