Seal of the Lord High Almoner of England, 1714
Seal of the Lord High Almoner of England under George I, 1714. It depicts a two-decked, galleon-built vessel. St George's flag is displayed at the stern and at the main truck. Inscription: 'SIGILL : ELEEMOSYN : GEORGII : D : G : MAG : BRIT : FRAN : ET : HIB : REGIS'. The red-painted cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
