Common seal of the Prior and Convent of St Bartholomew, late 13th century. It depicts a double ended ship containing the conventual buildings, representing the 'ship of the church'. Inscription: CREDIEMVS : ANTE DEVM : PR(OV)EHI : PER : BARTHOLOMEVM', 'NAVIS ECCL'E'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
