Poole, common seal and local admiralty court seal, 13th century. It depicts a thirteenth century sailing vessel. Inscription: 'SIGILLUM : COMMVNE : DE : LAPOLE'. The fore and after stages are beginning to be built into the hull as permanent structures. The common seal used also in the local Admiralty Court.
