Medal cast
        
        Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a lifesaving medal. Obverse: Three masted vessel wrecked on shore, three men on beach, lighthouse left. Reverse: Inscription in Persian: 'His Excellency the Right Honourable Stephen Rumbold Lushington, Bahadur, Governor and Privy Councillor'. Legend: 'This award is made for bravery displayed during a hurricane at Madras on the 6th of December, 1827'.
