Reverse: Within a wreath of oak and laurel and engraved inscription: 'RICHARD EARL HOWE' in centre: 'ADMIRAL AND COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF ON THE 1 OF JUNE MDCCXCIV', below: 'THE FRENCH FLEET DEFEATED'.
