Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a commemorative medal. Obverse: Bust of King William III in a long wig and armour, mantled (right). Legend: 'GULIELMUS III D. G. M. BRIT : FRANC : ET HIB : REX'. Reverse: Neptune (William III) standing in his two-horsed sea car attacking an enemy (Louis XIV) falling from a similar car. Legend: 'SIMILI POENA COMMISSA LUUNTUR' (Offences are expiated by commensurate punishment). Exergue: 'MIHI SORTE DATUM' (To me [this empire] has been allotted).
