Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a commemorative medal. Obverse: Bust of William III in armour. Legend: 'GVLIELMVS. III . D. G. MAG BRIT. FRAN. ET. HIB. REX'. Reverse: French fleet in flames. Legend: 'SIC . GLORIA . GALLI . VANESCAT' (Thus may the glory of the Frenchman disappear). Exergue: 'CL . FR . PER . AN . ET . BAT . TOT DESTR . A 29 MAJ . AD 3 JUN 1692' (The French fleet totally destroyed by the English and Dutch from 29 May to 3 June 1692).
