Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a commemorative medal. Obverse: Bust of Charles I profile, facing right. In ruff and armour. Legend: 'CAROLVS . I . D . G . MAG . BRITANIAE . FRAN . ET . HIB . REX'. Reverse: Ship sailing right., her top-sails and courses set on fore and main masts, lateen sails furled on two small mizen masts. Legend: 'NEC . META . MIHI . QVAE . TERMINVS . ORBI'. Medal issued in assertion of England's claim to dominion of the sea, 1630.
