Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a counter commemorating the arrival of King Charles III in Portugal, 1703. Obverse: Starboard-quarter view of a ship beflagged under sail. Legend: 'FELIX EXITVS.' (Happy issue). Reverse: Inscription, 'CAROLVS TERTIVS AVSTRIACVS IN REGEM HISPANIAR XII . SEPT . MDCCIII . PROCLAMATVS AVITA REGNA FELICISSIME INGREDIATVR OCCVPET, TENEAT.' (Charles III, of Austria, proclaimed King of Spain 12 Sept. 1703. May he reach in safety the realm of his ancestors, take possession of it and maintain himself there.)
