Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a commemorative medal. Obverse: Bust of Charles III. Legend: 'CAROLVS . III . HISPANIAR ET INDIAR . REX . CATHO'. Reverse: Charles protecting an allegorical figure of Barcelona from Philip who throws away his arms and flies. Legend: 'TVTORI AC CONSERVATORI SVO'. Exergue: 'BARCELONA AB OBSID . IRRIT . DVCIS ANDEGAV . LIBERATA . 12 MAII .1706'. (Barcelona relieved from the unsuccessful siege of the Duke of Anjou 12 May 1706'.
