Two casts of a commemorative medal, obverse and reverse. The subject relates to Q-ships. Two casts, obverse and reverse. Obverse: A naked woman kneeling, a mask fixed to back of her head. Her left hand holds a flag composed of the flags of: 'U.S.A., HOLLAND, NORWEGEN, SCHWED[EN], DAN[EMARK]'. Legend: 'ENGLISCHE FLAGGENEHRE' (English true colours). Exergue: '1914-?' With her right hand she covers up with cloth marked 'USA' a number of vessels two marked 'K.STEFFEN', 'BARALONG'. Reverse: Small steamer. Inscribed: 'ARTHUR . BALFOUR . DEM . ERSTEN . LORD . DER GROSSBRITANNISCHEN ADMIRALITAET'.
