Three Lascars working with the mooring ropes on the forecastle of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Arcadia (1954). Two are winding a mooring rope round a twin bollard while a third is holding another rope. They are being supervised by three European crew members; an officer in whites, the quartermaster in blue and an able seaman in whites with a cream guernsey. Transparencies PCT1528 to PCT1530 were taken on the same occasion.
