A starboard view just forward of the broadside of the cross channel steamer St. Patrick (1906) underway in Dover harbour while serving as an hospital ship. She has been painted in the appropriate livery with the red cross on the broadside between the two funnels.

HMS Aurora (1913) left Harwich on 12 April and arrived at Dover at 1.05pm where she undertook night defence off the Downs. Aurora returned to Harwich on 20 April via Edinburgh Channel and Black Deep. [Ship's log, TNA, ADM 53/34496].
