HMS Trafalgar (1887); Warship; Turret ship
        
        Scale: 1:192. Half block model of HMS Trafalgar (1887), a turret ship made entirely from wood. The hull is painted a pink-red with the upperworks and bulwarks painted black, both of which are divided by a thin white line along the waterline. The lower hull is fitted with a rudder and a prop shaft at the stern, whilst the bow is fitted with a ram reinforced by a horizontal stringer. The upper portion of the hull is complete with a number of circular portholes, a pair of hawsepipes at the bow painted red internally and a single guns mounted in a cylindrical turret at the stern. Bridging the upper and lower portion of the hull are a series of horizontal and vertical red lines indicating the areas of armour plating together with a series of numbers painted in white indicating the thicknesses of the armour plating in inches. The main deck is finished in a light brown colour on which is mounted a central citadel painted white with a pair of circular turrets mounted with two guns either side of the citadel. The upper deck of the citadel is complete with a single funnel (one of a pair mounted athwartships) painted a light yellow colour, a single stump mast painted a pink-red and a forward bridge painted white with light brown decking. The whole model is mounted on a wooden backboard which has been overlayed with either paper or card, painted a yellow-brown colour surrounded by a moulded edge painted black.
