Scale: Unknown. A model of a proposed mooring block designed for use in foul ground. The model has been made almost entirely in wood with metal fittings. The model consists of a wooden rectangular frame which is fastened together with bolts. At each corner of the frame is a tall vertical metal pole. In the middle of the frame, lengthways, is a wooden crosspiece, the ends of which are shaped like the flukes of an anchor and which are fixed to the middle of the short sides of the frame. The middle of the crosspiece bulges to incorporate a circular aperture. The crosspiece is made from two lengths of wood. On the underside of the frame is a handwritten label: 'A mooring block proposed for foul ground.'
