Warship; Frigate

Scale: Unknown. A model of the proposed stern of a frigate (early 19th century) made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted black with a broad off-white stripe along the gun deck. The stern gallery has been carved and painted to indicate the windows and carved and painted decoration. Four gun ports are depicted on the poop deck, painted grey with red and ochre inner faces. Two gun ports are shown on the main deck painted in a similar fashion. The hull below the waterline is painted a copper colour to indicate copper sheathing.
