Component model; Keel model

Scale: Unknown. A model showing the method of arranging and connecting the keel, stern post, deadwood, keelson, and sternson, in a wooden ship. The model has been made in several sections almost entirely in wood, stained and varnished a mid-brown colour. On the starboard side of the model the various sections have been scored and the marks inked, and one section appears to be darker then the others. An angled bracket like arrangement at the top of the model has been indicated and coloured black, and a number of metal pins fixed into it. Also on the starboard side of the model a paper label has been applied marked "17". The model is displayed upright, standing on a single chock, a second chock is now missing.
