Sectional model; Midship model; Frame model
Scale: Unknown. A sectional model depicting the midship frame and keel of a warship (circa 1814). The model shows the old plan of framing men-of-war with singular chocks at the beads and heels of the timbers which was in use prior to 1814. The model is made in wood, and stained and varnished a dark brown colour. Seven floor frames are shown together with the keel and the side of the hull shows three gun ports - two on the main deck and one on the gun deck. The keel is marked "37" and "C2".
