Component model; Sectional model; Frame model
Scale unknown. A sectional model of a short length of ships framing which shows the end of a deck beam and its supporting knee. The model has been made in wood which has been stained a uniform colour and the component parts have been secured with metal pins. There is evidence that the model is incomplete in that the exterior hull frames are partially unstained and there is what appears to be adhesive residue. The knee is made in two sections. An elongated metal ring has been attached to the upper inboard longitudinal frame. Two paper labels have been applied to the upper and side faces of the beam, one of which is marked "48".
