British naval ensign. Wool bunting, machine-sewn. Worn by HMS 'Queen Elizabeth' at the surrender of the German Fleet 21 November 1918. Presented by Admiral Sir David Beatty to Admiral A. Scales (1868-1952) of USS 'Delaware'. Rope and two Inglefield clips attached. Brass grommets in hoist.
