Land service mortar
Scale: 1:12. Model of a land service mortar circa 1770. The model has been made entirely from ivory and the carriage has been made in an identical way to the depicted item in that joints have been pegged and metal fastenings secured with wedges. The mortar has been turned from a single piece of ivory, and its underside has become discoloured.
