knife, seaman's clasp
Seaman's clasp knife. Clasp knife with single broad blade and spike. Shackle with lanyard attached. 'H McGivering' punched on one side. The knife issued to the donor Lt Cdr J.H. McGivering when he joined the HMS Raleigh as an Ordinary Seaman in 1941. The lanyard is later, they always used manilla not sisal.
