Ethnographic boat model
Ethnographic boat model of a Burmese racing boat (Burma now known as Myanmar), built at a scale of 1:12. Shallow hull possibly of papier mâché, without frames or thwarts. Carved from a single log, these fast and extremely shallow boats were raced on the inland waters of Burma. The light hulls were paddled by two men seated side by side.
