Scale: about 1:22. A model of a six mat boat or Liu-p'eng - ch'uan made entirely in wood and straw. The hull is narrow and flat bottomed and has a very high bow. The hull is carvel built and formed of wide horizontal planks pinned to a frame. Both the stern and the bow are flat. The superstructure is made of a semi circular lattice work of straw placed amidships and is held in place by a wooden or bamboo frame. There are doors fore and aft of the superstructure with geometric fretwork in the upper halves and painted panels below.
