Sampler
Maple-framed sampler, worked in cross stitch with letters of the alphabet and numerals, with a verse in cross stitch underneath: 'On the death of Lord Nelson/ Lo Vict'ry stained in dying Nelson's gore,/ Reaches with mournful joy his native shore/ "And lives my champion yet" Britannia cries/ "He lives no more" Victory replies/ "His work is done - the fleets of France and Spain/ His arm has crushed - Britannia rules the main/ Torn from my arm, th' immortal Hero flies/ In glory's car triumphant to the skies".
