Carpet
Mauve, red, green mercerised cotton 'shawl' design. Hand knotted. Large inner field with a design of concentric Boteh, with a gold floral frame. Enclosed by wide floral borders, a pale green outer border and lilac guard stripes. Finished at each end with multicoloured fringe. 'KASHMIR' woven into design in centre. Ex P & O passenger/cargo liner 'S.S. Kashmir' 1915-1932.
