        Liquid compass
Bowl:White metal. Glazed with domed glass. Four support strutts on side of bowl, these are connected to a plate. This plate is connected to angle iron springs which is in turn connected to a base plate. Base plate has a vernier. Four steadying arms on outside of bowl. Painted white inside of bowl and one arc of 90 degrees described.
Card: Small circle with dome at centre. Graduated to 8 points. Has four arms radiating marked 0, 1, 2, 3, respectively. Diameter of card 1" (2.5cm)
Needle: Four needles slung beneath card. Length 1" (2.5cm)
Pivot: Unsighted
