Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1891
Fourteen buttons with a rope twist edge. Within a raised circular border on a smooth background is a pre-1901 crown above a fouled anchor where the rope comes over the right-hand side of the stock, goes under the shank to the left, then over the shank to the right and disappears under the right arm. Two branches of leaves cross at the bottom and go up each side with the tips of the branches level with the mid-point of the crown. Flag officer.
