Liquid compass
Bowl: Brass, painted grey and mounted in a white metal bulkhead bracket. Galzed top (opaque) and bottom (clear). Graduated 0-360 on flange and to 8 points. Flange is moveable in azimuth and can be locked by a nut.
Card: Printed circle graduated to 360 degs and to four cardinal points on underside of opaque glass. The image of the card is reflected down through the base of the bowl and out to the observer by a 45 deg. mirror set in bracket.
Needle: Two needles slung beneath 8 damper arms.
Pivot: Unsighted
Bracket: Bulkhead type, has two electrical sockets for possible lighting of the mirror and bowl.
