Liquid compass

It is not possible to see the magnetic compass, only the projector unit.

Consists of a white ground glass disc with a moveable pointer at the centre, fitted with a verge ring which is graduated to 360 degrees. Mounted in a grey painted aluminium bowl with hood attached which has an oval aperture at aft side. Below bowl is a grey painted aluminium tube 7.9" (20 cm) long, 3.15" (8 cm) in diameter, containing projection mechanism and compass? The whole suspended by by springs in a light aluminium framework.
