Compass bowl

Compass bowl. This item is inside ACO0800.

Bowl: Black painted brass, fitted with frosted glass bottom. Inside of bowl painted black with four black lubber lines carried on white plastic strips mounted 90 degrees apart and secured to base of bowl. The bowl is free-flooding. Mounted in double gimbal rings of black painted metal.

Card: Dia 5.26" (13.5 cm) White plastic? ring with black markings, graduated to 360 degrees with a second set of reversed graduations 180 deg out of phase. Attached to a large black float at centre.

Needle: Unsighted

Pivot: Mainly unsighted, but pivot stem can be seen attached at centre of glass bottom of bowl.
