Dry compass

Card: Mica covered with paper, black with white markings, graduated to quarter points.

Needle: One flat bar needle 6.6" long, having rounded ends and an expanded centre, to accommodate pivot cup, fitted with brass sliding weights. A brass cross bar is fitted having an expanded centre plate, fitted above expanded centre of needle, carrying sliding weights.

Pivot: Cone shaped brass pivot cup with jewel at top screwed through centre of needle.
