Prince Edward (captured 1781)

Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plan with stern board decoration detail, sheer lines with inboard detail and figurehead, and longitudinal half-breadth for Prince Edward (1781), a captured Dutch Fourth Rate, as taken off at Chatham before being fitted as a 60-gun Fourth Rate, two-decker.

Signed by Nicholas Phillips [Master Shipwright, Chatham Dockyard, 1779-1790].

NMM, Progress Book, volume 5, folio 182 states that 'Prince Edward' (1781) arrived at Chatham Dockyard on 6 August 1781 and sailed on 31 December 1781 having been surveyed.
