Centaur (1746); Deal Castle (1746)

Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plan, sheer lines, and longitudinal half-breadth proposed for Centaur (1746) and Deal Castle (1764), both modified 1741 Establishment 24-gun Sixth Rate. Note the sweep ports on the upper deck and the absence of any lower deck gunports. The rest of the 1741 Establishment 24-gun ships had the gunports, which is why the Admiralty Curator Stamp is incorrect in stating 'Sheerness'. The dimensions match Centaur exactly and Deal Castle's are only an inch or so different.
