A 12x10 negative. A port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the cable ship Amber (1888) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary sail rig with two yards on her foremast and her hull is painted black. A small rowing boat is alongside. Tilbury is in the background.
